F45, New Zealands newest gym chain has just arrived in the country.

The programme incorporates a new fitness concept that means gym-goers never have to experience the same work out twice.

The high intensity 45 minute cardio and resistance session has caused a fitness flurry throughout the region.

Thomas Lyons, health and mindfulness expert, says the F45 workout programme is creating a supportive and energising environment for individuals to bring about positive health changes.

Brooke Glogoski, newly joined gym member, says the environment is much more positive and stands out from every other gym that she has been too.

“The variety of exercises and friendly faces make going to the gym something exciting rather than a chore,” she says.

Local businesses have also seen the rewards of the gym, going as far as changing their menus to healthier options inspired by F45 alternatives.

Oasis café, and the Apothecary in East Auckland’s Howick Village, are showing their support with the addition of super food smoothie bowls and protein packed bites to the menu.

Mr Lyons says this transition towards a healthier and balanced lifestyle is important for Kiwi’s to get behind, given that one in three New Zealanders over the age of 15 are overweight.

Ms Glogoski says at $60 a week the programme is not the cheapest, so perhaps some gym-goers may be more inclined to go for the countless other cheaper options.
