Fans are ecstatic as South Korean popstar G-Dragon has finally released his latest shoes in New Zealand.

K-pop star Kwon Ji-yong, better known as G-Dragon of the Korean boy band Big-Bang, recently released his Kwondo 1 Panda PeaceMinusOne shoes in outlets all around New Zealand.

Stock is depleting fast due to the K-pop star’s popularity and the long wait for the shoes to hit our shelves.

Loaded shoe-outlet worker John Bulou believes that G-Dragon's popularity is the reason the shoes are highly in demand.

“G-Dragon has a huge following, especially from the Korean community, and it’s the first time we’ve sold his shoes, so it’s understandable that it’s going fast.”

Kiwi-Korean fan Sok-min Koh expresses reasons why Korean people love and support G-Dragon so much.

“I came across G-Dragon when I was in high school, my mom had been listening to a Big Bang song on the radio, which was the most popular Korean boy band at the time and G-Dragon caught my attention because of his songwriting, distinctive fashion and stage performances.”

Koh also mentions how G-Dragon's popularity in the Western world has helped him to sell his shoes here in New Zealand.

“G-Dragon also has a huge following in the Western world with numerous fans across the globe who continue to support him.

“As his merchandise is still new, despite only being sold in South Korea in the past, his shoes have sold out quite naturally here in New Zealand due to his following worldwide as a trendsetter,” says Koh.

Loaded has only limited sizes available for purchase due to its popularity, with sizes 12, 13 and 14 the only options in stock.
