Getting the dope on dope

Sam de Jong speaks with Te Waha Nui in Albert Park about the issues surrounding marijuana.

The international event celebrating cannabis culture and the protest of current laws is set to take place in Albert Park on May 2.

J-Day has been running since 1992 and is organised by NORML (The National Organisation for the Reform of Marijuana Laws).

In light of the new Drug Harm Index, released by the Ministry of Health this month which categorises synthetic cannabis and cannabis together, Te Waha Nui felt it was timely to hear what Aucklanders had to say about marijuana.

Most people had no problem with J-Day taking place and agreed it was time for laws in New Zealand to be revised. Video: James Beange
