The Kiwi OE will be at the heart of New Zealand's latest reality show with participants heading off to Europe to find themselves.

Entrepreneur Mirko Mamic is the director and producer of The Big OE , which he has been working towards making for a year.

He says it will be a show which will promote not finding love, but finding love in yourself.

Six people in their 20s and 30s have been selected to travel through Europe, to help get over the feeling of being lost after university studies or heartbreak.

"We have created this mainly for people to find and learn to love themselves and our focus is to show people at university that there is a world out there you have to go and explore," says Mr Mamic.

The show will feature people from the average student to the wild party animal.

It will allow the participants to see different cultures around the world, visit the hottest night clubs, explore top adventure spots and attend festivals as VIPs.

Their travels will start in Croatia, then move on to Montenegro, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and end in Dubai for a last hurrah.

The Big OE producers have already signed a contract with the Ultra music festival in Croatia.

Social influencer Jade Mackinnon, who will be in the first series, says It would be a dream show to be on for many single women. "I was really excited when I got the email," says Ms Mackinnon.

Another five participants, for whom expenses are covered, have yet to be announced. Online applications for series two are expected to open next year.

Filming for the first series will begin late June until August with a Kiwi camera crew.

"I want to  give people the chance who have doing filming for years and haven't been given the opportunity to shine. I'm giving them the opportunity to grow," says Mr Mamic.

MTVNZ and TVNZ have both confirmed they would be interested in the show, he says. The show will be aired early January 2019 but where is not yet decided.
